Cambridge based author Perveen Nadirshaw Tayabali’s debut novel is set in Bombay in the nineteen eighties. It centres around the friendship between Rustom Cooper and Hirjee Dhanjibhoy, which begins in childhood. As they grow older, shifting sands of circumstance test their bonds. The novel traces the relationship between their two families over a period of forty years, weaving in laughter, romance and heartbreak.
The author uses her skills as a Fine Artist to conjure landscapes with a pen instead of a brush. She makes the reader feel that they are living in Mumbai and the creation of her characters are people you know.
‘Seasons of Friendship’ is one of three novels (not sequels) that she has written and is the first to be published on Amazon under the heading of ‘Books’. It is available in the UK, United States, Europe and Australia. In Mumbai, India, the book is available to read in the Willingdon Club and the Bombay Gymkhana libraries.
